One of the first buildings that catches your attention across from Seoul Station is Seoul Square. Previously known as the Daewoo Center Building (Daewoo Building), it has been transformed into the modern landmark known today as Seoul Square. 서울역 맞은편을 바라보면 가장 먼저 눈에 들어오는 건물 중 하나가 있습니다. 과거에는 ‘대우센터빌딩(대우빌딩)’으로 불렸던 이 건물은 현재 서울스퀘어(Seoul Square) 라는 이름으로 운영되고 있습니다. 대한민국 성장기를 상징하는 건축물 A Building That Symbolized Korea’s Economic Growth 서울스퀘어는 1977년에 완공되었으며 당시 대우그룹의 본사 건물로 사용되었습니다. 1970~1980년대는 대한민국이 급격한 산업화와 경제 성장을 이루던 시기였고, 이 건물은 그 시대를 대표하는 상징적인 고층 건물 중 하나였습니다. 당시 서울 도심에서 밤늦게까지 불이 켜진 모습으로 유명해지며 대한민국 성장의 상징처럼 인식되기도 했습니다. 밤이 되어도 멈추지 않는 현장, 평택 고덕 삼성반도체 건설현장을 지나며 Even at Night, Construction Continues – Passing by the Samsung Semiconductor Construction Site in Pyeongtaek Godeok 오늘 저녁 8시 30분경, 평택 고덕을 지나 이동하던 중 삼성반도체 공장 건설 현장을 보게 되었습니다. This evening at around 8:30 PM, while passing through Pyeongtaek Godeok, I had the chance to see the Samsung semiconductor plant construction site. 이미 해가 완전히 진 시간이었지만, 현장은 마치 낮처럼 환하게 밝혀져 있었습니다. 수많은 조명이 현장 전체를 비추고 있었고, 멀리서도 공사가 한창 진행되고 있다는 것이 느껴졌습니다. Although the sun had already set, the entire site was brightly illuminated as if it were daytime. Numerous lights covered the construction area, making it clear even from a distance that work was actively underway. 거대한 크레인과 각종 장비들, 분주하게 움직이는 작업 구간들, 그리고 각자의 자리에서 작업을 이어가는 근로자들의 모습까지.
